CHOCOLATE CHERRY BOMBS


Chef’s Line                 melting cake batter                         2#
Monarch                     Maraschino cherry halves               8oz
                                   Southern Comfort                            8oz
Monarch                     powder sugar                                   2T

Method: drain the cherries place on a sheet tray, bake in a 225 degree oven for 3-4 hours or until the cherries are dried, place in a bowl add Southern Comfort and let set over night to absorb the liquor. Drain off extra liquor from cherries and course chop. Mix cherries into thawed melting cake batter. Scoop 3oz of mixture into desired baking pan, bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until baked thru. Allow to cool and serve topped with a dusting of powder sugar.

Yield: 13 servings
